Free Language Tutorials: Basic Phrases, Vocabulary and Grammar in 9 Languages:
All of the language tutorials on this site are completely free - there is no premium content to buy. I believe education should be free, so this site will always remain free.
Currently, 9 languages are available: English, Russian, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Dutch and Swedish. Recently, I've begun a project to convert the Foreign Service Institute language programs to HTML format. Lists of vocabulary and verb conjugations are available for some Romance, Germanic and Slavic languages, as well as other helpful ideas, resources and links for learning foreign languages.

German is very hard language, i don't speak it at the moment. But i'm still learning it on this site. Rocket German is a great program for beginning German learners. It includes over 11 hours of audio, vocabulary and verb games, and grammar lessons that are all downloadable from their website. Schau ins Land is a German audio magazine for improving listening comprehension and cultural understanding of the German-speaking world. If you're interested in buying books to supplement your German studies, I've recommended some books from Amazon and Ectaco sells many electronic handheld dictionaries and translators.

Book Recommendations. Language textbooks are rather expensive and generally only include the formal, written language. You will need more exposure to the real spoken language if you want to be become fluent. In addition to the Rocket German & Schau ins Land programs, as well as a good dictionary, grammar review, and book of verb conjugations, I recommend the following books and materials for learning German:
